Turnkey Project Delivery Services

Project Management Model

Although Plainex adopts PMI standards for basic project management on a global scale, it has experienced that executing sub-tasks with an agile model is beneficial in getting usable results in a short time. This model is adopted unless the client project management office and IT management have a different expectation.

Short-term and frequent deliveries can be made throughout the project, as this working model also allows the flexibility of taking the ready to live and putting it into use.

With the experience of working with local and global customers of very different sizes and in different sectors, possible risks, mitigation plans and possible solutions to be encountered in similar projects are widely known by the project team.

The authorised and experienced project manager to be appointed by Plainex informs the project stakeholders with weekly reports throughout the project and prepares a summary status report for the steering committee meetings.

We can customise the project management reports according to the customer requirements while the standard ones are available.

Project Team Experience

Our experts have successfully completed projects in the largest local and global corporate companies and government institutions. These include Banks, Telecom Operators, Airline Companies and Insurance Companies.

Plainex experts target customer satisfaction and providing added value in projects. Data discovery, anonymisation, masking, deletion and encryption have been performed in hundreds of databases containing thousands of tables in the Finance and Telco sectors. Integration is provided to many different databases such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Postgre SQL, Couchbase, Hadoop, Cassandra, Mongo.

In the unstructured domain, on the other hand, integration with dozens of systems such as File Server, Documentum, Exchange Server, Sharepoint, and Filenet was provided, and Terabytes of data were scanned, the results were reported, and actions such as copying and deletion were implemented according to the predefined business rules.

Project Team

All of our consultants have hands-on experience having received necessary trainings and certificates related to the systems on which they do configuration or development.

We begin resource planning and team formation right at the RFP stage. The company’s senior management works closely with the consultancy team and supports them in every way. After the conclusion of the tender phase, resources are mobilised quickly to form the project delivery team.

The customers enjoy cooperating with Plainex as an always-accessible single point of contact, from provisioning of licenses to the project delivery and operation and maintenance.

Quality Assurance Model

Plainex delivery team follows the SDLC processes for all of the configurations and developments. We run unit tests in development environment, then hand it over to the QA team of the customer. Close support is provided to the customer test team during the tests. We also attend and provide support for go-live activities.

Test Documentation
We provide test result documents for the following tests;

Functional Tests : It is tested whether the configuration or development performed fulfills the desired functions.

Integration Tests : A successful integration is ensured by testing all scenarios with the integrated systems.

Regression Tests : A regression test is run by the customer QA team to assure that nothing is broken on the application level. Plainex experts support the customer QA team during the regression tests especially for the projects where we manipulate the system at the database level.

Performance Tests : Performance tests are run to confirm that when the system goes live, it will not cause a performance problem for itself and the other parties (e.g target databases). The results of the tests carried out in test environments are scaled for production systems since there are source and platform configuration differences between test and production systems in most of the cases.

UAT : Acceptance tests are carried out by the end user. The end user may vary from business user to technology personnel depending on the type of the service delivered. Plainex experts provide support during the UAT whoever the end user might be.

Rehearsal : Before the full-scale go-live, a small data set is made to migrate to the live system, confirming that the systems are working as expected. A full-scale migration plan is planned after this test.

Documentation and Know-how Transfer

Documentation
Unless otherwise is agreed, Plainex team provides following documents during the project implementation;

  • High Level Design (HLD) Document : It contains the basic components and architecture of the solution.
  • Low Level Design (LLD) Document : The proposed solution details, access information, target systems, decisions made, application customisations and integration information are provided within this document.
  • Project Plan : Project manager maintains this project plan during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Operational Handover Document : It contains the necessary system maintenance details for the use of the customer operation team before the go-live.

Know-how Transfer
The Plainex team provides an administrative training for each system delivered to the customer. These trainings are provided so that the customer IT team can do basic work without the support of the Plainex team after the completion of the project. These trainings are carried out in the form of knowledge transfer rather than any certification preparation or formal training.
